Our Commitment

ForeRent is committed to protecting the personal data of all users — property owners, managers, and tenants. We comply with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and its implementing rules and regulations. This page outlines the measures we take to safeguard your data.

Security Measures

ForeRent implements industry-standard security measures to protect your data:

Encryption

All data encrypted in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest (AES-256).

Access Control

Role-based access ensures users only see relevant data.

Authentication

Secure login with hashed passwords and session management.

Regular Backups

Automated daily backups with encrypted storage.

Data We Protect

We protect all personal information collected through the platform, including names, email addresses, contact numbers, government IDs submitted for verification, lease agreements, payment records, maintenance request history, and property documents stored in owner vaults.

Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected. When a user account is deleted, personal data is purged from our active systems within 30 days. Backup copies are removed within 90 days.

AI Data Processing

Our AI models for rental price prediction and financial forecasting process anonymized and aggregated property data. Personal tenant information is never used in model training. AI predictions are generated using property attributes without any personally identifiable information.

Third-Party Processors

We work with trusted third-party service providers for hosting, payment processing, and email delivery. All third-party processors are bound by data processing agreements. We do not share personal data with advertisers or data brokers.

Breach Notification

In the event of a data breach that poses a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify affected users and the National Privacy Commission within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach, as required by law. The notification will include the nature of the breach, data affected, and steps being taken.
